So we conveniently arrived right when the TV showed up and I assisted the delivery driver in getting it into my doorway. It was clearly noticable that this things weighs as advertised. Before he leaves i do a once over of the box to ensure it wasnt damaged. It wasnt.I remove the old TV and begin setting it up. There are multiple layers of warnings telling you to not do this by yourself. Unfortunately my wife is pregnant and cannot lift that much so going solo was my fate. I pulled all the extras off the top nooks and crannies and i opened the directions to try to get something assembled prior to taking it out. I assembled the remote and thats it. I proceeded to take the outer box off to look inside at the beauty. I follow the directions and get the stand out which is easily 2/3 of the weight in the box. I set that up on my tv stand.I get the pegs on and go to take the TV out.The TV is large heavy and awkward and has no hand holds what so ever. I had to grip the sides in order to get it out and get the plastic off. I kept the Styrofoam screen cover on until the end. I set it all up and secured it then I started on cables. Easy cable installation just like any TV.There’s more though.. this TV was meant for cable management! I had to reroute cables because you have 3 peices that covers all the wires. The only thing I can see after those is my powerblock where everything plugs into. Amazing thoughtfulness on Sonys part.I went to go do the setup. I connected my Google account and it imported everything that I watch and use for media including passwords. Amazing. We watched some videos on netflix, crunchyroll, and YouTube and quality was astounding. The auto brightness and sounds from Bravia is well executed. Currently my wife is playing her video games using the 4k hdmi plug and it is astounding. No complaints other than I should have listened to directions.

I just got a new Sony XR-65A95K QD-OLED and the picture is outstanding.Watching anything shot in high definition it feels like you are right there. The colors are very rich and vibrant.I’ve been watching the Chimp Empire documentary on Netflix and it honestly looks like I’m right in the jungle with them and could reach out and touch them.I did a lot of research before I bought the Sony and I knew the top of the line LG and Samsung were very comparable and cheaper. What made my decision was the fact I currently have a Sony LCD 43” that we bought in 2007 that has always been our main tv and was used 3 hrs every night and it is still going strong with a nice picture and zero problems in 16 years.

This TV is gorgeous. Grab it when it’s on sale and you will not be disappointed. For those of you considering Sonys regular OLED, go for this QD OLED. It’ll be a brighter, more enjoyable experience overall. Also the Reds are STUNNING.

Having done research, knew what I was getting into with this QD-OLED panel from Sony.It uses the same panel as Samsung’s S95B but for my personal use of watching movies with the most accurate renditions possible, I chose the Sony. For me accuracy is better than brightness. I also don’t play any games so I can’t be of advice there. Different use cases might tip the balance in favor for Samsung’s QD-OLED – price not withstanding. (For me, I also did not like the the Samsung S95B did not have Dolby Vision support.)On the Sony A95K, detail and color reproduction is excellent. As for the clarity / motion blur settings I turn off. I try to remain as faithful to source material as possible. I know the A95L is coming out soon with better max brightness and better gaming features, the difference in MSRP is enough value difference for me to go with the A95K now than to wait for more expensive better tech later.I still have older SD content that needs upscaling, so that is also important for me. Can’t compare to other newer tech at this but obviously it does a way better job than the older smart tv that it is replacing.Despite liking the TV so much, things have been a nightmare.Got it through Amazon’s White Glove delivery – was unpacked and setup upstairs. These guys were awesome. They were 2 big delivery guys and they struggled carrying it upstairs while it was still in the box. Forget about trying to do it by yourself. When unpacked, there were fingerprints and a white scuff mark on the bottom panel. There was no protective film on the front or like sheet or something protecting the screen. Just a yellow energy sticker right on the panel. The delivery guys pointed it out before removing it from box. (They were wearing gloves and the shipping box was pristine. It was from manufacturer like this.)Thinking I would just wipe it down with microfiber later, we turned it on and did a quick screen check to see if it was okay. Looked good so they left.Turns out the scratch was permanent and I need a warranty fix.Called the Sony number for the 1 year warranty to get this fixed or replaced. They opened a claim but then told me they cannot help because I bought it from Amazon. I need to go through their warranty service. Now I’m being told only help I’m able to receive is if I box it and return it for full refund. After going through several reps, countless hours, countless phone calls — I have to go through a third party freight service to make the return. They won’t send a tech to fix it. Also, this “warranty” is only for 30 days. And then I am told if they do not receive it, I will be out of warranty and they will not issue a refund. So….Nightmare.

All the reviews stating that this is the best TV ever are correct. I set it up using rtings.com’s calibration settings for a perfect picture. I’ve seen a lot of OLED TVs and thought “Yeah, this a nice picture”, but when I saw the picture on this TV in a brightly lit BestBuy I was floored. The sound is very good. Better than my 6-year-old LG soundbar, but I still paired it with an A5000 Sony soundbar using the TV speakers as the center channel. I don’t even think I need to get the sub-woofer.This thing is prohibitively expensive, but is worth it if you have the spare cash.

More than happy with the product thus far. Brighter than previous Gen OLEDs. Dark Details and colors exceeds the LG G2. Picture quality in all modes is exceptional. Crisp and sharp.A bit on the pricey side when considering the same panel in the Samsung is roughly 40% less. There are some things that justify the price premium but it’s a bit too much. The one thing I was not at all happy about was a dirty screen out of the box. The box was not damaged in the least. There is nothing over the screen when packed but a slim styrofoam cover taped over it. I competed the installation and the last thing before powering up was to remove the styrofoam cover. I was honestly expecting a protective film and was disappointed to find there isn’t any. I was doubly disappointed to find huge finger and palm prints all over the screen and some rub marks from the styrofoam. A simple wipe with a brand new microfiber cloth would not clean the smudges. Distilled water slightly damp on one followed immediately with a dry cloth also did nothing. Fortunately I had some non soap cleaner and managed to get it clean but even that was a challenge. One should not have to clean smudges from a brand new, factory sealed TV that you pay a hefty premium for. I was extremely disappointed and nearly put it back in the box for a return over this. I bought the 4 year service plan when I normally do not. It’s like going to buy a new Maserati and it’s covered with bird poop.

So I got this TV 3 weeks back, spent a hell lot of $$$$, but immediately after a few days I started seeing a notification saying that “Storage is full”, and then TV would restart. This started happening very frequently. Firstly I did not understand why they give just 4GB internal storage for such a high end TV, the storage is very cheap now a days. Also I followed a lot of trouble shooting steps to try and resolve it , I reset my TV multiple times nothing worked. Then finally I bought a pendrive (128GB just for 20$) and set it up as a device storage though settings but this TV could not move any data to this extended storage for some error used to pop up. (FYI i did not install more than 5 new apps apart from which came factory installed)Also Intermittently I used to see color flickers after the TV was restarted a lot of time after this storage issue. And I started having a doubt that this expensive piece of art would soon die on me putting me through a lot of trouble of getting it repaired. So I rather decided on returning it.Pros: This TV has the best picture quality, the videos look breathtakingly vibrant yet natural toned no oversaturation or any such colour or contrast issues. The sound is awesome. Seems physically very sturdy. And all the pros i saw in any reviews were true but these issues I was having were unexpected.Biggest con I faced apart from these issues above was that the TV Google OS was very laggy for this expensive hardware. I expected it to be much smoother.

Its a sony and pricey. sound is good, picture is brillant but I think a little to vivid despite adjusting .Trying to avoid burn in with this screen. Hope newer tech stops it – last oled only lasted 5 years before major burn in issues. It was not sony and anti burn in tech had not been introduced yet.

I bought and have lived with this TV for about two weeks. 3 grand is a lot for a 65 inch TV, when others can be bought for a lot less. I had been reading reviews for the A95K for a while, and many reviewers had said that this one may be the best there is. What motivated me to go ahead and buy, was the new technology that Sony came up with for the built-in sound. I have no desire to get a sound bar, and watch my TV with the TV sound 75% of the time, and only put the sound thru my stereo, using glass fiber-optic cable, for movies and sports. The speakers behind the display, and 2 subwoofers on the back give great sound for most listening. The picture is very sharp and detailed, and was a big step up from the 52 inch Sony Bravia it replaced. Setup with all my external peripherals was a bit challenging, but I enjoyed the challenge. I am a bit paranoid about the burn-in that OLED TVs are known for, so I am more careful about pausing video to do something else. The picture, compared to the same size Samsung, is warmer and more natural, with less of the reach out and grab you color. I may never have the best car or the best house on the market, but I feel that for a while, I have the best TV on the market. Highly recommended.

The actual tv is fantastic and the sound is amazing! The image is unmatched in any tv i have ever seen. Only usibility issues is it requires a google account to use most of the features and buying content to stream on prime is subpar.I would not recommend buying unless you are willing to return the item a few times though. I had two different ones delivered and both had minor damage from the styrofoam packaging to the screen. Its hard to see but with a lot of ambient light or low light on screen it is noticible. Amazon made the replacement experience great but its still a huge heavy tv that is delecate and having to setup/take down a primary tv multiple times is a huge pain in the butt.I would rate it lower but the damn tv is so beautiful, the sound is so good and the cable management options/covers are all well thought out. If they get their packaging sorted and remove the google requirements or even if you pick up in store this is an easy easy 5 stars.Dont by a sony tv mount its overpriced and feature light.
